interesting premise, but i can't play it because it's slow for some reason. could you implement a quality button to improve the game speed?

Muja responds:

Thank you for your review, man!
I would implement a quality button, but the thing is that I mainly use vector graphic instead of bitmaps... and that's also why it's so slow on certain machines.
I will try to implement as many bitmaps I can in later episodes, but I can't promise anything because it's really faster for me to use vector graphics... I'll see what I can do!

happy birthday to your brother. please make this longer. add a plot, draggable items and maybe an antagonist

cynnagen responds:

I do have plans to make a similar game later this year which will definitely have those things, though it probably won't have an antagonist.

funny as hell 5 stars

Splapp-me-do responds:

Thanks! :D

I read the whole thing on we are 1.net and I say congratulations. I am glad you changed faiths. not that I hate atheists, but I pray that god walks with you in your path. there are many bible study groups in Lodi and Sacramento. Disciple is a really good Christian metal band and I am here if you want to do a bible study through PM. I am proud of you. it is my earnest hope that god helps you become strong in your faith and builds you up in your weakness.

GregLoire responds:

Thanks for the spiritual support! Since "crossing the gnostic threshold of enlightenment" (or whatever you want to call this), I've been involved in a couple of esoteric mystery schools and am currently studying the Qabalah (I'm actually running a monthly Qabalistic study group at a Masonic temple right now, which is definitive proof that I never have any idea what I'll be doing with my life 5 years out).

If there is one thing that I have learned since I first started writing the first draft of this story many years ago, it's that reality is super weird and none of us will ever fully understand it. But equally weird was the revelation of what's possible to know from a human perspective -- specifically, that we are all literally experiencing fragments of the same one infinite consciousness (ie. Kether/Ehyeh/the One/the central "I am" presence within all of us), which is responsible for manifesting our shared physical reality.

For those who find that last statement ridiculous, my Past Self is right there with you, and that's the "center" from which God's Assassin was written. I remain of the firm stance that sincere truth-seeking counts for way more than whatever your current truth may be. Whether any of my writing resonates with you or whether it sounds like complete bullshit, nothing makes me happier than seeing people thinking for themselves and reaching their own conclusions about the nature of themselves and their own reality.

I wish you the best upon your own spiritual path -- I'm still not onboard with the exoteric Christian dogma of an anthropomorphic God separate from ourselves, but The Bible is still loaded with plenty of occult wisdom for anyone with eyes to see. :)

this has to be a joke. it's still unfinished, incomplete, its impossible to die, the r button does noting and there is no music. points for the art style though.

positives: the art is good, reminds me of old DOS cga games

negatives: too many to list

Arg410 responds:

No I got bored and made it in about 3 hours. Could you PM a list of Things you would like to fix.. I know about the R bug, which i explain in a different comment..

funny but the medals aren't unlocking. the fertilized egg cracked me uo

OrangePylon responds:

Thanks! You seem to have the medals on your account now, so I'm glad it seemed to fix itself. They won't display as unlocked below the game itself until you refresh the page, I believe.

have you ever played monkey island 2 lechucks revenge on win 98? this game takes me back, way back to 2002, when I first played it. I can still envision my grandmother making dinner and my uncle right there by my side. she died a few years ago so this is a beautiful trip down memory lane.

the art style is beautifully drawn, harkening back to early DOS adventure games such as Kings quest. I do not know why the borders are poking out of the screen, I guess its a stretching issue but that's for you to fix, if you can. I was 8 or 9 when I played it, along with duke nukem and tomb raider. I wish you the best in your future projects. I know a lot of the games on here are free but I would suggest making a full series and releasing it on steam. you have a hit on your hands.

god bless and have a wonderful day

Mammothtree responds:

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's really nice to find out that people enjoyed it! I have indeed played Monkey Island 2, i play it through at least once a year :) I really love the old Lucas Arts adventure games and it probably shows ;)

I'll look into the bugs you encountered thanks for pointing that out.

I'm currently working on a sequel/second episode so stay tuned, there'll be more!

I love the retro Gameboy pea green style, brings back good memories, I do have one gripe though: jump height, I can't even clear the first barrier. please add a double jump feature.

keep up the awesome work

LeviRamirez responds:

Well thank you my man, I am really glad that I brought back some good memories for ya. Ad your gripe is solved because the game has a wall jump feature.. Thanks for the feedback!
